Amidst wild thought a clarity only felt by death
A battle in my own image against a past reflection
Lost amongst chambers of this mind against regressing time
Before I rest wrapped in cold rusted steel
Upon my minds eye displays my ire
Within these halls rests my dismay

Beyond the doors of this prison where a lonely fortress lay
A heart in the dark of this maze where I escape

The landscapes displays their wreckage
Souls that sailed the blackest sea unending
withheld in the salt fermenting
They rise to smother the infinite light
Poison the spirit into permanent night
A bloated, salted, soggy blight
A matter beyond the flesh
A hunger in unending sight
… And the smell of meat is fresh
A desire to fall prey to the moonlight ire
We all fall...
Growing their army, colossal
Filling their bellies full
… and empowering their empty souls
These voices murmur and whisper
My stirring of thoughts lets go
If I were a matter beyond the flesh
Would it carry me through infinite night?
Is it too late to bask in the sun
and feel the warmth of it’s endless light?
I desire to fall prey to the moonlight ire

With destiny in hand my sword dictates my fate
